Benchmark your LinkedIn content against top creators and executives
Pull recent posts from LinkedIn profiles with engagement counts as JSON, to learn which topics and styles earn reactions in your niche.
If you write on LinkedIn for yourself, a founder or a brand, the question is what works in your niche right now, not in general advice. The answer is in the posts of the people your audience already reads. Lovely Router reads them for you. Send profile URLs, get one JSON object per post, pay per post from a prepaid balance. Run it from a script or an AI agent and compare their engagement to yours.
Hand it to your AI agent
Copy this prompt into Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or any coding agent. It tells the agent where the docs are and how to use your API key.
Benchmark your LinkedIn content against top creators and executives. Use the Lovely Router data tools: each returns JSON and is billed per result.
- Docs (read first): https://lovelyrouter.com/docs/tools/find.md and https://lovelyrouter.com/docs/tools/run.md
- Plan first: POST https://lovelyrouter.com/v1/tools/suggest with `{"task": "<my task in plain words>"}` (free). It returns the tools to run in order, each with an example `input`, the `input_required` fields, an estimated cost and a ready-made `run` request. Replace the example values with my task's; if a field is unclear, read the tool with GET https://lovelyrouter.com/v1/tools/<id>. To browse instead, POST https://lovelyrouter.com/v1/tools/discover searches the catalog.
- Show me the plan and its estimated cost (`total_est_cost_usd`) before running anything large.
- Run: POST https://lovelyrouter.com/v1/tools/<id>/run with `{"input": {...}, "max_results": N}`. A 200 has the finished run with `items`; a 202 means it is still running, so poll the `poll` path until `status` is `succeeded`, `failed`, `timed_out` or `stopped`.
- Only delivered results are billed. Keep max_results small on the first run, check the output, then scale up.
- If you support MCP, connect https://lovelyrouter.com/mcp instead (Streamable HTTP, same key; https://lovelyrouter.com/docs/tools/mcp.md) and use suggest_tools, get_tool and run_tool.
- Auth: read my API key from the LOVELY_API_KEY environment variable and send it as `Authorization: Bearer $LOVELY_API_KEY`. Never print or commit the key. If it is not set, ask me to create one at https://lovelyrouter.com/app/keys.
- Billing is prepaid: every call is charged to my balance, so test with a small request before running anything large.
- Every docs page is plain Markdown; the full index is https://lovelyrouter.com/llms.txt.

List the profiles
Pick 10 to 20 creators, founders and executives in your niche, and add your own profile.
Run the tool with a cap
Send the URLs in
targetUrlstoPOST /v1/tools/linkedin-posts/run.maxPostscaps the posts per profile,postedLimitcaps the age, andmax_resultscaps the run.Find the patterns
Sort by engagement, read the top posts, and ask a model for what they share: topic, hook, length.
Get a profile's recent posts with one request
Get LinkedIn posts takes profile or company page URLs in targetUrls. maxPosts is the cap per URL, and one run returns up to 200 posts. postedLimit accepts any, 1h, 24h, week, month, 3months, 6months or year:
curl https://lovelyrouter.com/v1/tools/linkedin-posts/run \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $LOVELY_API_KEY" \
-H "content-type: application/json" \
-d '{
"input": {
"targetUrls": [
"https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe-example"
],
"maxPosts": 10
},
"max_results": 50
}'This tool does not collect comments or reactions text; you get the posts and their engagement counts. A run still going after 60 seconds returns 202; Run a tool shows how to poll.
What each post holds
| Field group | What you get |
|---|---|
| Post | The text of the post |
| Engagement | The engagement counts shown on the post |
For company pages that post as an organization, linkedin-company-posts is built for that job. You are responsible for using people and contact data lawfully, including privacy and anti-spam rules in the countries of the people you contact.
Recipes
Take the last 50 posts of 10 creators, sort by engagement, and ask a model to classify the top 20 by hook and topic.
Use the topics of the top posts of the last three months as your list of ideas.
Add your profile and compare your median engagement to the group.
Check how a person's posts engage before you invite them to collaborate; see influencer research.
Watch the posts of a prospect's CEO for what they say they care about, before a meeting.
Prefer plain words? Connect the MCP server and tell Claude Code or Cursor: "Fetch the last 30 days of posts from these 12 LinkedIn profiles with linkedin-posts, maxPosts 20 each, and give me the 15 most engaged posts with the hook of each. Set max_results to 240."
Pair it with other content sources
Profile posts are one channel. Put them next to others:
Recent posts from LinkedIn profiles or company pages, with engagement counts.
Recent posts from LinkedIn company pages with engagement counts.
Public LinkedIn profile by URL: headline, experience, education, skills, location.
Tweets matching search terms, hashtags or from given handles: text, author, engagement, date. Each search term takes X's advanced search operators (from:, since:, min_faves:, filter:, lang: …).
YouTube videos for search keywords, or from YouTube links (search results, channel, playlist or video URLs): title, views, likes, comments count, duration, channel, date.
linkedin-company-postscovers the company pages in your market.linkedin-profileadds headline and background for the people you follow.x-searchshows what the same people say on X.youtube-searchfinds their long-form content.

What you pay
You pay per post: starting a run holds its maximum cost, the per-call fee plus the per-post fee times max_results, and the run settles to what it returned. The rest of the hold goes back to your balance. A run that fails or times out pays only for the posts it delivered, and a run refused at the start costs nothing.
Reading 200 posts is billed as 200 posts. There is no subscription and no monthly minimum: top up from $5, and one balance pays for tools and models. The card above shows today's price; pricing lists every tool.

Yes. postedLimit filters by age, from 1h to year.
