Vet Instagram influencers before you sign a deal
Get Instagram profile details by username as JSON, with bio, followers, posts count and recent posts, to vet creators before a paid partnership.
A creator pitches you with a follower number and a rate card, and you have a spreadsheet of 60 more to check. Opening each profile to read the bio, count posts and look at what they post lately is slow. Lovely Router returns it as data. Send usernames, get one JSON object per profile, pay per profile from a prepaid balance. Call it from a vetting script, a CRM job or an AI agent with one API key. Profile and comment data can identify people, so you are responsible for using it lawfully, including privacy and anti-spam rules.
Hand it to your AI agent
Copy this prompt into Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or any coding agent. It tells the agent where the docs are and how to use your API key.
Vet Instagram influencers before you sign a deal. Use the Lovely Router data tools: each returns JSON and is billed per result.
- Docs (read first): https://lovelyrouter.com/docs/tools/find.md and https://lovelyrouter.com/docs/tools/run.md
- Plan first: POST https://lovelyrouter.com/v1/tools/suggest with `{"task": "<my task in plain words>"}` (free). It returns the tools to run in order, each with an example `input`, the `input_required` fields, an estimated cost and a ready-made `run` request. Replace the example values with my task's; if a field is unclear, read the tool with GET https://lovelyrouter.com/v1/tools/<id>. To browse instead, POST https://lovelyrouter.com/v1/tools/discover searches the catalog.
- Show me the plan and its estimated cost (`total_est_cost_usd`) before running anything large.
- Run: POST https://lovelyrouter.com/v1/tools/<id>/run with `{"input": {...}, "max_results": N}`. A 200 has the finished run with `items`; a 202 means it is still running, so poll the `poll` path until `status` is `succeeded`, `failed`, `timed_out` or `stopped`.
- Only delivered results are billed. Keep max_results small on the first run, check the output, then scale up.
- If you support MCP, connect https://lovelyrouter.com/mcp instead (Streamable HTTP, same key; https://lovelyrouter.com/docs/tools/mcp.md) and use suggest_tools, get_tool and run_tool.
- Auth: read my API key from the LOVELY_API_KEY environment variable and send it as `Authorization: Bearer $LOVELY_API_KEY`. Never print or commit the key. If it is not set, ask me to create one at https://lovelyrouter.com/app/keys.
- Billing is prepaid: every call is charged to my balance, so test with a small request before running anything large.
- Every docs page is plain Markdown; the full index is https://lovelyrouter.com/llms.txt.

Collect the usernames
From a spreadsheet, a pitch inbox or the output of a search run.
Run the tool
Send up to 50 usernames in
usernamestoPOST /v1/tools/instagram-profile/runwithmax_resultsset to the number of profiles.Score and shortlist
Check followers and posts count against your minimum, read the bio for category and contact, and look at the recent posts for the topics they cover.
Get Instagram profiles with one request
Get Instagram profiles takes usernames in usernames. One username is one profile, and one run reads up to 50:
curl https://lovelyrouter.com/v1/tools/instagram-profile/run \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $LOVELY_API_KEY" \
-H "content-type: application/json" \
-d '{
"input": {
"usernames": [
"natgeo"
]
},
"max_results": 1
}'Each profile carries its bio, followers, posts count and recent posts. A run still going after 60 seconds returns 202; Run a tool shows how to poll.
What each profile holds
| Field group | What you get |
|---|---|
| Identity | Username and bio |
| Audience | Followers |
| Output | Posts count |
| Recent activity | Recent posts |
Followers tell you reach, not quality. Pair the profile with engagement from the posts before you decide.
Recipes
Run 50 usernames, drop accounts under your follower floor or with few posts, and keep the rest for a closer look.
Send each bio and the recent post captions to a model and ask whether the creator fits your category.
Compare the asking price with followers and posts count for creators in the same tier.
Run your approved creators monthly and track follower growth.
Take the best candidates to instagram-posts and compute likes per follower on their last 20 posts.
Prefer plain words? Connect the MCP server and tell Claude Code or Cursor: "Get the Instagram profiles for the usernames in creators.txt and give me a table of followers, posts count and the one-line niche from the bio. Set max_results to the number of usernames."
Pair it with discovery and engagement data
Profile data is the first screen. Add discovery and proof of engagement:
Instagram profile details by username: bio, followers, posts count, recent posts.
Search Instagram for users, places or hashtags by keyword.
Recent posts from Instagram profiles: caption, likes, comments count, media, owner with follower counts, date.
Reels from Instagram profiles: caption, views, likes, comments, video URL, date.
A TikTok account's videos with the author's follower and like counts.
instagram-searchfinds creators by keyword to fill the top of your list.instagram-postsshows likes and comments on their recent posts.instagram-reelsshows views on their short videos.tiktok-profilevets the same creator on TikTok.

What you pay
You pay per profile: starting a run holds its maximum cost, the per-call fee plus the per-profile fee times max_results, and the run settles to what it returned. The rest of the hold goes back to your balance. A run that fails or times out pays only for the profiles it delivered, and a run refused at the start costs nothing.
Vetting 60 creators is billed as 60 profiles. There is no subscription and no monthly minimum: top up from $5, and one balance pays for tools and models. The card above shows today's price; pricing lists every tool.
