Find dropshipping products by AliExpress orders and rating
Search AliExpress by keyword and sort by orders to get price, order count, rating and store as JSON, to pick products to test for dropshipping.
Choosing which products to test in a dropshipping store comes down to a few numbers per product: what it costs, how many people already bought it and how they rated it. Reading those from AliExpress results by hand is slow, and the list changes daily. Lovely Router runs the searches for you. Send keywords, get one JSON object per product, pay per product from a prepaid balance. Call it from a script, a research sheet or an AI agent with one API key.
Hand it to your AI agent
Copy this prompt into Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or any coding agent. It tells the agent where the docs are and how to use your API key.
Find dropshipping products by AliExpress orders and rating. Use the Lovely Router data tools: each returns JSON and is billed per result.
- Docs (read first): https://lovelyrouter.com/docs/tools/find.md and https://lovelyrouter.com/docs/tools/run.md
- Plan first: POST https://lovelyrouter.com/v1/tools/suggest with `{"task": "<my task in plain words>"}` (free). It returns the tools to run in order, each with an example `input`, the `input_required` fields, an estimated cost and a ready-made `run` request. Replace the example values with my task's; if a field is unclear, read the tool with GET https://lovelyrouter.com/v1/tools/<id>. To browse instead, POST https://lovelyrouter.com/v1/tools/discover searches the catalog.
- Show me the plan and its estimated cost (`total_est_cost_usd`) before running anything large.
- Run: POST https://lovelyrouter.com/v1/tools/<id>/run with `{"input": {...}, "max_results": N}`. A 200 has the finished run with `items`; a 202 means it is still running, so poll the `poll` path until `status` is `succeeded`, `failed`, `timed_out` or `stopped`.
- Only delivered results are billed. Keep max_results small on the first run, check the output, then scale up.
- If you support MCP, connect https://lovelyrouter.com/mcp instead (Streamable HTTP, same key; https://lovelyrouter.com/docs/tools/mcp.md) and use suggest_tools, get_tool and run_tool.
- Auth: read my API key from the LOVELY_API_KEY environment variable and send it as `Authorization: Bearer $LOVELY_API_KEY`. Never print or commit the key. If it is not set, ask me to create one at https://lovelyrouter.com/app/keys.
- Billing is prepaid: every call is charged to my balance, so test with a small request before running anything large.
- Every docs page is plain Markdown; the full index is https://lovelyrouter.com/llms.txt.

List the niches
Write the search keywords for the product types you are considering, one query per entry.
Run the tool with a cap
Send them to
POST /v1/tools/aliexpress-products/runwithmaxProductsin the input andmax_resultson the request. The run holds its maximum cost from your balance and returns the products as JSON.Score the candidates
Rank by orders and rating, drop cheap products with weak ratings, and keep the ones where the price leaves room for your margin.
Rank a niche by orders with one request
Search AliExpress products takes searchQueries, one search per entry. maxProducts caps the products per query, and a run starts at 50 products:
curl https://lovelyrouter.com/v1/tools/aliexpress-products/run \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $LOVELY_API_KEY" \
-H "content-type: application/json" \
-d '{
"input": {
"searchQueries": [
"wireless earbuds"
],
"maxProducts": 50,
"sortBy": "orders"
},
"max_results": 50
}'sortBy accepts default, price_asc, price_desc or orders. To read specific listings, pass AliExpress links in productUrls. A run still going after 60 seconds returns 202; Run a tool shows how to poll.
What each product holds
| Field group | What you get |
|---|---|
| Identity | Product listing |
| Price | The listed price |
| Demand | Number of orders |
| Quality | Rating |
| Seller | The store |
Orders show how many times a product has sold, so a product with many orders and a high rating is a safer candidate to test than one with few.
Recipes
For five niches, run sortBy set to orders, and keep the top 10 per niche with a rating above your cutoff.
Collect 200 products in a niche and see which price range holds the most orders.
Group results by store; a store that appears across a niche is a likely supplier to contact.
Pass its link in productUrls and compare its orders and rating with the niche average.
Hand the top candidates to a model to draft titles and descriptions for your own store.
Prefer plain words? Connect the MCP server and tell Claude Code or Cursor: "Search AliExpress for 'posture corrector', sorted by orders, 50 products. Show title, price, orders and rating for the top 15, and flag any with a rating below 4.5."
Pair it with demand checks
AliExpress shows what suppliers sell. These help check whether your own customers want it and at what price:
AliExpress products for a search: price, orders, rating, store.
Amazon Best Sellers for a category: rank, title, price, rating, ASIN.
Google Trends interest over time and by region for a keyword.
A TikTok Shop product page by URL: price, sales, rating, shop, variants.
What items actually sold for on eBay: sold price, shipping, condition, end date. For price research and valuation.
amazon-bestsellersshows what is ranking at the top of an Amazon category today.google-trendsshows whether search interest for the product is rising or fading.tiktok-shop-productreads a TikTok Shop product page by link, for products that sell through video.ebay-soldshows what similar items actually sold for.

What you pay
You pay per product: starting a run holds its maximum cost, the per-call fee plus the per-product fee times max_results, and the run settles to what it returned. The rest of the hold goes back to your balance. A run that fails or times out pays only for the products it delivered, and a run refused at the start costs nothing.
Reading 200 products is billed as 200 products, whether they come from one keyword or several. There is no subscription and no monthly minimum: top up from $5, and one balance pays for tools and models. The card above shows today's price; pricing lists every tool.
Frequently asked questions
How do I sort by best-selling?+
Set sortBy to orders. Other options are default, price_asc and price_desc.
Can I read specific AliExpress products?+
Yes. Put the links in productUrls instead of search queries.
What is the smallest run?+
A run starts at 50 products. maxProducts defaults to 50, and the most one run can return is 200.
Which fields can I rank on?+
Price, orders and rating, plus the store that sells the product.
Does it tell me a product's profit margin?+
No. It returns the listing price. Margin depends on your shipping, fees and selling price.
Do I need a subscription?+
No. You add credit to a prepaid balance and each run draws it down. Failed runs pay only for the results they delivered, and nothing renews automatically.
