DeepChat is an open-source desktop AI chat app that works with many model providers. It connects to Lovely Router as an OpenAI-compatible provider, so one key gives you Claude, GPT and Gemini models in the same app. You need an [API key](/app/keys) first.

## Set up in one click

Use **Use in tools** → **DeepChat** → **Open in DeepChat** on the [API keys](/app/keys) page to add the provider in one click. DeepChat must be installed.

Right after you create a key, the dialog already contains it. For an existing key, paste the full key into the dialog: Lovely Router stores only a hash, so it can't show the key again.

## Add the provider by hand

Add a provider with these settings:

| Setting | Value |
| --- | --- |
| Provider type | OpenAI-compatible (or "New API") |
| API host | `https://lovelyrouter.com` |
| API key | your `lr-...` key |

## Add models

Then add the models you want by id, for example `claude-sonnet-5.5`, `gpt-6.1-sol` or `gemini-3.1-pro`. The [model list](/models) has every id.

## Troubleshooting

| Symptom | Fix |
| --- | --- |
| `401` with `Invalid or revoked API key` | The key is mistyped, truncated or revoked. Paste it again, or create a new one. |
| `404` with `Model '...' is not available` | The model id doesn't exist. Copy an id from `GET /v1/models` or the [model list](/models). |
| `404` on a path containing `/v1/v1/` | The app appends `/v1` itself. Use `https://lovelyrouter.com` as the API host. |
| `404` with `Unknown endpoint` | The app is calling an API Lovely Router doesn't serve, such as embeddings. Keep Lovely Router for chat, and pick another provider for that feature. |
| `402` | Your balance is empty or the key reached its spend limit. See [Credits & billing](/docs/account/billing). |
